What Is Drag Bingo?
If you have never experienced drag bingo before, think of it as bingo after a very glamorous makeover.
You still have the familiar game.
Numbers are called.
You follow your card.
You hope yours comes up.
But House of Drag surrounds that game with live entertainment.
Guests can expect a combination of:
Drag performances
Comedy
Cabaret-style entertainment
Games
Prizes
Music
Audience interaction
So when someone says they are going to bingo, this probably is not the version their nan has in mind.
Why Choose Drag Bingo Instead of a Traditional Bingo Session?
Traditional bingo puts most of the focus on the game.
Drag bingo makes the game one part of a bigger social experience.
That can make it particularly good for groups where everyone wants something slightly different from the day.
One person might love bingo.
Another might want a live show.
Someone wants comedy.
Someone else mainly wants an excuse to get everyone together.
House of Drag gives the group all of those elements in the same booking.

Bingo in Beeston With a Twist
If you live around Beeston and have been searching for bingo near you, you do not need to head into central Nottingham to find this event.
The show takes place directly at the Beeston Mecca Bingo venue on Queens Road.
That also makes the event useful for groups travelling from Beeston and surrounding areas who want an activity without turning the journey itself into half the night.
And because the show finishes at 6pm, you still have the evening free afterwards.
What Can You Expect at House of Drag Bingo?
Expect considerably more than sitting quietly with a bingo card.
House of Drag brings together:
Bingo games
Live drag entertainment
Comedy
Music
Cabaret-style performances
Audience participation
Prizes
Glamorous costumes
Party energy
The House of Drag experience is built around turning bingo into a live
entertainment event rather than treating the game as the only attraction.
Never Played Bingo Before?
You are still invited.
Bingo is easy to follow even if you have never played before.
Listen to the calls.
Follow your card.
Try not to miss your number because you were too busy watching the show.
That last one might be the difficult part.
The live entertainment also means that newcomers are not relying entirely on the bingo itself to enjoy the afternoon.
You can come for the show and discover that you unexpectedly have a competitive streak.
Bingo Nottingham for Birthdays
Planning a birthday in Nottingham?
An interactive event can be much easier to organise than trying to build an entire day from separate activities.
House of Drag can become your main event.
Meet beforehand.
Head to Beeston for the 3pm show.
Enjoy three hours of bingo and entertainment.
Then carry the celebration into Nottingham afterwards.
Because the event finishes at 6pm, you still have plenty of time for dinner, drinks or whatever the birthday group has planned next.
Drag Bingo for Nottingham Hen Parties
If you are organising a hen party, drag bingo gives you two things hen groups usually need:
Entertainment and an activity.
Rather than booking a show and then finding something else for everybody to do, House of Drag brings both together.
It also works well for groups because everyone can participate regardless of whether they have played bingo before.
If you are planning a hen celebration, you can also read our guide to why drag bingo makes the perfect hen party night.

House of Drag is for the day when you want something beyond the usual session.
You still get bingo.
But you also get the atmosphere of a live show.
That makes it a particularly useful option when you are planning something with people who would not normally suggest bingo themselves.
Tell them there are drag performances, comedy and a party involved.
That should help.
What Should You Wear to Drag Bingo?
There is no need to arrive in drag.
There is also no reason you cannot bring a little extra glamour if you fancy it.
Think:
Sequins
Bold colours
Statement accessories
Partywear
Matching group outfits
